Travel has given me freedom, love, and happiness.
Welcome to my travel blog! My name is Camille and I am a 29-year-old traveler originally from France. I’m the author of Crafty Explorer, an eco-travel enthusiast and a long-term budget traveler. I was born and raised in France, where I’ve lived a good part of my life. I caught the travel bug in my early twenties, and since then I’ve lived in Germany, England, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and traveled to 25+ countries. Two years ago, I was lucky enough to meet my soulmate in Australia, and we have been traveling together since then. His name is Robin, and I find him to be a very good subject for my photos, so you might see quite a few pictures of him in my blog posts!
My goal is to travel to as many countries as I can, taking all the time I need. I’m what you can call a slow-traveler. I have a lifetime to travel our beautiful world, discover new cultures and ways of life. In fact, exploring new places and living abroad are my favorite things in the world. I always travel on a budget, and I travel everywhere with a daily budget between $20 and $50 depending on where I am.
I try to travel in the most sustainable way possible. I’m passionate about our world, wildlife, protecting our environment and living green. My aim is to help you understand why sustainability is important, and how you can easily change your travel habits to make the world a better place for future generations.
Travel helped me discover who I was and what I wanted from life.
I just got back from New Zealand after 2 years away from home. I have spent a few weeks visiting my family in France and went to Belgium to meet my boyfriend’s family and friends. We are now spending winter in Turkey and are planning to head to Canada in February 2019.
In this blog, you will find stories about my travels around the world, sustainable travel, and travel tips to help you discover the world on a budget. Here are a few of my most popular posts:
This blog is a way for me to connect with people and to share my unique lifestyle. From living abroad to traveling the world on a (tight) budget, I will share all my adventures with you. I hope I can inspire you to live your life to the fullest and encourage you to get out of your comfort zone. Travel has changed my life for the better, and it could change yours too!
On top of being a travel blogger, I am also a jewelry maker. As you can imagine, it’s sometimes difficult to make jewelry while traveling, but I try my best to create new pieces frequently. Click here to see my jewelry!
